The gearbox is an important part of the tractor transmission system and its main functions are as follows:

Changing transmission ratio
The gearbox can change the speed and torque of the engine, and can change the transmission ratio of the output and input shafts in fixed or graded stages to adapt to different driving conditions.

Enabling reversing
The gearbox allows the car to be reversed without switching off by cutting off the transmission of power using neutral gear.

Providing driving flexibility
The transmission adjusts the ratio of engine speed to vehicle speed to suit different driving conditions, providing appropriate torque and speed transmission for smooth acceleration and high-speed driving.

Saving energy and improving fuel efficiency
By reasonably selecting appropriate gears and gear ratios, the transmission enables the engine to operate within the optimum speed range, improving combustion efficiency and fuel utilisation.

Composition and working principle
