Wheat cutter-sunner, also known as cutter-sunner, cutter-binder or cutter-sun harvester, is a kind of agricultural machinery used for wheat and other cereal crops harvesting operations. Unlike the traditional combine harvester that threshes directly, the cutter-sunner is mainly responsible for cutting down the crop and spreading it into strips or bundles, after which the crop is dried naturally or manually in the field to reach a certain dryness before threshing.
Cutting table cutting: The cutting blades of the cutting table rotate to cut the crop.
Conveying and Striping/Bundling: The cut crop is conveyed to the rear of the machine, where it is spread evenly into strips by the striping machine and bundled into small bundles by the bundling machine using baling twine.
Drying: The crop spread into strips or bundles is dried naturally in the field to reduce the moisture content of the crop for subsequent threshing operations.
