Header: The header of a combine harvester is a key part that directly contacts with crops and conducts the harvesting operation. It adopts advanced cutting technology and is equipped with high-strength and sharp cutting tools, which can easily cut off the crop stalks. The width of the header usually varies according to different models. A wide header can harvest multiple rows of crops at one time, greatly improving the harvesting efficiency. To adapt to crops of different heights, the header also has a height adjustment function. Through the hydraulic system or mechanical adjustment devices, the operator can flexibly adjust the height of the header from the ground according to the actual situation in the field, ensuring that the cutting tools are always in the optimal working position, realizing precise harvesting of crops and reducing missed cuts and losses.
Threshing System: The threshing system is one of the core components of a combine harvester, and its performance directly affects the threshing quality of grains and the operation efficiency. This system mainly consists of a threshing drum, concave sieve, spike teeth or rasp bars, etc. During the high-speed rotation of the threshing drum, the grains in the crop ears are separated from the stalks, husks and so on through the squeezing, rubbing and impact actions between the threshing drum and the concave sieve. Different models of combine harvesters adopt different threshing methods and threshing elements. For example, some models use spike-toothed threshing drums, which are suitable for crop varieties with greater threshing difficulties. Their spike teeth can effectively grab and strike the crops to achieve rapid threshing; while other models use rasp-bar threshing drums, which cause less damage to grains and are suitable for crops with higher requirements for threshing quality.
Power System: The combine harvester is equipped with a high-performance engine as the power source. The power of the engine depends on the size of the model and the operation requirements. The powerful power output can drive various components such as the header, threshing system, cleaning system and running mechanism to work together, ensuring that the machine operates stably and efficiently in the complex field environment. To improve fuel economy and environmental protection performance, modern combine harvesters mostly adopt advanced fuel injection technology and turbocharging technology, enabling the engine to burn fuel more effectively while providing sufficient power and reducing exhaust emissions. Meanwhile, the engine is also equipped with a complete cooling system and lubrication system to ensure its reliability and durability during long-term and high-intensity operation.
